Is the 02-03 NSX lighter than the previous generation?
I noticed the headlamps seem to weigh much less.

Straight from the brochures, all manual:

German 1993: NSX : 3020lbs = 1370kg
USA 1995: NSX : 3047lbs = 1382kg
USA 1995: NSX-T: 3142lbs = 1425kg
USA 2000: NSX : 3069lbs = 1392kg
USA 2000: NSX-T: 3164lbs = 1435kg
USA 2002: NSX-T: 3153lbs = 1430kg

I'm sorry, I don't have any numbers for the 2002 NSX Coupe. But actually, by the numbers, the 2002 NSX-T is 11 lbs lighter than the 2000 model.

I was able to weigh my 96 with spare and tools and a 1/4 tank and it was 3150lbs so those wghts are pretty acurate.

I'm sorry, I don't have any numbers for the 2002 NSX Coupe.

In North America, the NSX Coupe was discontinued after 2001.

I know. However, I have a UK NSX-brochure which mentions both models. Unfortunately, it doesn't state any weight-numbers.

According to Honda Switzerland website :

NSX Coupé V6 3.2i (mec.) = 1460kg = 3240lbs
NSX Coupé V6 3.0i (aut.) = 1490kg = 3285lbs
NSX-T V6 3.2i (mec.) = 1510kg = 3329lbs
NSX-T V6 3.0i (aut.) = 1535kg = 3384lbs
