Widow Regulator Thingy downsides?

Any downside to the aluminum inserts? Cable breakage? Noise? Harsher jolt when hitting the window stops? TIA

I'm not sure about their effectiveness in "widow regulating", but there is no downside to installing them in your pre-1993 window regulator mechanism - there is also no point to installing them in the updated version of the window regulator - just make sure that you lubricate everything that should be greased up with the proper goo.

I can only think of one downside - that they make everyone who didn't install them before the regulator broke, who had to buy a whole new regulator, really really jealous... :D

No, no downsides whatsoever.

My driverside has broken on the cable. Is it replaceable. What I mean is can I just replace the cable and if can what is the actual length and size of the cable used.
