Why NSX never appear in any of EA's games?

I am just curious, is there a reason why EA never included NSX in any of their racing games, asides from the old need for speed 1 pc game from last century?

I know it can't be the licensing agreement as they did include S2000 on some of the new games.

Do you REALLY want an NSX in need for speed that people will turn into an abomination? We all know EA has no taste in cars.

I'm glad they dont, had they have done it in Underground 1 and 2...they would have riced the hell out of it. Thats why Forza, GT3/4, PGR2, and I think TOCA has it too. All those games are great and in FORZA, they do a kick ass job with it, they even have the RTR NSX in there, once you win it in the NSX races.

I just played the demo of the PS2 Need for Speed: Most Wanted. I'm now calling it "Least Wanted". No complaints that they didn't include the NSX in this one...

Yeah, I like the mods they let you do on the nsx in forza because they are real companies. Plus you can buy even the old type r off the showroom floor, unlike gt4 where you have to wait for a used one to pop-up. The older type r is an awesome stock autocross car.

the physics engine in this game is unparalleled. its all very realistic. it even shows you newton's laws in action!

I like the way my Forza NSX looks, but I hate the way it handles...never did spend the time to tweak it

I still far prefer GT4's NSXs to Forza's, both in look and handling (especially with the Driving Force Pro wheel)

gonna have to agree with this one, no longer an employee!

there were several cool cars in the garage however, an ELCECTRIC porsche spyder replica, Blue Canterham 7, 3 red Elise's, and many 911's of various types. But I had the only NSX at EA Redwood City, real or virtual :)

Actually, it was in the original NFS for the PS1 and 3DO. Pretty cool game; it also included the 3rd gen RX7, Supra Turbo, 512 TR, Diablo, Viper, 911 and ZR1. The game features cool videos of each of the cars, as well as narrated segments that talk about each car's history, performance, and design aspects. If you ever run across one in a bargain bin, pick it up, the extras alone are worth the $5 or $10 it would likely fetch.

I have many fond memories of playing NFS on the first PlayStation...

...but as soon as GT came out, I never played NFS again

Ah Eric... thank you for posting those photos from memory lane. I tried finding some old screenshots I took from NFS2 (or 3?) on PC which had half a dozen police after me. :)

btw, no offense but i'd be changing that paint scheme on your NSX Type-R before worrying about tweaking the handling. :D

I agree, in NFS the NSX was too slow. That was the game me and my buddies played heads up all the time. That was our favorite! The RX-7 was actually easier to win races with than the NSX...

I have to agree about Live for Speed being extremely realistic. I recently added this to my list of toys and it scares the hell out of you when you crash!

A lil under 30K...I could buy a (cheap and old) car (Nissan 240SX) with that money and mod the hell out of it.

What are some of the option for it? Momo pedals and steering wheels? Headlights? Cell phone?

is that thing for real?

hahaha, does it shock with a good dosage of electricity? because i heard theres this one company who makes combat sims for US soldiers which zaps you everytime you get hit with a bullet.....fun...but this is the price you pay for anything close to reality.

It doesn't actually shock you, but when you are really into the race and loose it in a corner and hit a wall you will feel it the next day! I have a couple of friends who won't get back in the thing, especially in the Richard Burns rally.

I have also found after an hour in the simulator it is almost impossible to get in a car and drive, you want to slide through all of the corners!

I might have to add the electrical shock therapy thought the seat option once I get really good with the unit. I guess I could have a secret cut off switch for when I drive it!

For someone who doesn't already have a race prepared car, I would suggest doing that before buying a simulator.

Some of the options:
Force feedback wheel, yes it is a Momo and I believe it is capable of breaking your wrists! It certainly is strong enough that when you roll the car you can't stop the wheel from turning. It also has paddle shifters attatched to the Momo wheel.

50" Projector

Actual pedals with clutch.

Game computer.

Basically I bought the system fully ready to go without having to add anything. I guess there are people who buy them without the options and try and mount their own.

I can't believe you have one of those! I've seen some crazy videos of people playing richard burns rally with one of those. In one video, the thing jumped off of the floor from rolling in the game. Can you play gt4 on it?
