Why no lap times / hard numbers? When should we expect them?

It seems clear that in the "first drive" round of reviews from Sonoma in October 2015 there were ground rules prohibiting printing lap times and other instrumented numbers. When should we expect to see hard data?

I'm not particularly obsessed with it being "king of the hill" in terms of 0-60/quarter mile/lap times AS LONG AS THE NSX IS COMPETITIVE with cars like the 991 Turbo S/570S/R8V10+/Z06/GT-R.

It just means the team is still playing with software......but the troubling thing is most sports car in the past have given the magazines a testable version very early in the production....I think this just galvanizes how complex this new nsx is compared to all other sports cars in its price point.

agree I have no allusions that they are on target in terms of ready for prime time....the ball got played and now they might have to do a little razzmatazz until this budget 918 is optimal.

Rumor is 3/17 more details will be released:

Agreed too...
This IS a very complex car with extreme capabilities. But to get as much performance AND Acura reliability requires much more trail and error learning leading to optimizing vs generic settling at release. I prefer getting it right (as much as possible) vs getting it right away ( well sorta). I expect synergy will prevail making the extended and frustrating wait worth while for those willing to hang in there.

Assuming the hardware is dialed in, I don't mind being a "beta tester" on the firmware as long as they provide free software updates incorporating learnings from the initial units in the wild.

13th March, Autoguide will have the review out. Maybe some special cases.

And also Jalopnik will have the full review tomorrow.
