What's a tires' lifetime? 7 Years? Read the spare tires manual from the manufacturer. They specify a design lifetime for it.I got rid of mine because it is 20 years old (you have to look at the code when it was made - not what model year your vehicle is).I AM NOT WILLING TO RISK MY LIFE NOR MY FELLOW MOTORISTS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WITH A 20 YEAR OLD TIRE. ESPECIALLY 55-60 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY.I am more than happy willing to wait 45 minutes for a flatbed to show up if my fix-a-flat and compressor won't do the trick.Dave
