Im talking to a local shop here to replace the plastic window things (http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95894&highlight=window+thingy).

but he's saying the reason these go bad is cause the regulator runs out of greese, so to have that taken out and put gresse into as well, which ofcourse isa LOT more.

Ive never heard this though. Is this true? do you NEED to get the reg greesed up too?

They fail because they were made out of plastic ! Should be Alum , like the SOS and Dali replacements. Make sure they Don't use the plastic ones again !

Is the idea to replace them before they fail or when they fail? Like is there any reason to tear into the doors if it's not broken?

They go bad b/c Acura designed them that way. They wanted us to be able to say that the car has a "soul" and is an "exotic".

Sorry. I'm overdue for lunch.

Replace them BEFORE they fail, that prevents having to buy an expensive window regulator.
I did window AND door handle "thingys" right after buying my car last Oct.
