after pulling into my garage, and turning my NSX off, she let's out an occassional "moan". No i'm not joking (and I don't abuse her anyway ).

This can happen even a couple hours after stopping. The sound, a bit like a distant ships horn, occurs at regular intervals, say 10 minutes or so.... lasts perhaps 2 -3 secs. It comes from the engine bay area (I think ... bit hard to pin point.

what could it be? Is a pressurised system leaking / releasing perhaps ...?

Gas?

Really, when was the last time you flushed the coolant. It sounds like you have air trapped in the coolant system and it needs to be bleed.

Just a guess.

I thought it was begging to be driven, again .

All kidding aside, I can relate to your obsevation as I've myself noticed it a couple of times in the last year. All services are up to date & there are no leak/s of any kind.

My guess is it the fuel system, or more properly said the evaporative emision system. There is plumbing and valves to control and store the fuel vapors from the fuel tank. You are just hearing that system working as the fuel and vapors expand and contracts.

What Brian said. Modern motorcycles do it too except it sounds more like a whine or cry(smaller fuel vapor valve).

Does it sound like Darth Vader taking his last breath?

I like your suggestion BrianK, makes sense . The sound has been around for ages, and car is running well.

So I guess it's a "sigh" not a "moan" after all

It has also been referred similar to "dove cooing" sound somewhere on NSXPRIME before

It's a normal sound , I hear it on many NSX's

mine scares the crap out of people, its a little louder bc i have a turbo set up on mine, i think.. lol

My Prelude does it too, it's air escaping from the air intake. I never figured out if it was from the evap or from the cylinders, it's cool anyways :)
