Why do YOU buy an NSX.

- because I can
- and I prefer it to a Toyota Supra TT

i like bargains... and the NSX has got to be the automotive bargain of all time when you consider value, performance, ease/cost of maintenance, etc. does anything else come even close?

The sound of the engine high in the revband.

The look of the upswept rear fender as it blends with the rear spoiler.

The perfect tactile feel of the cockpit controls.

The unique smell of the interior.

It's a delight for four of the five senses - why, I can almost taste it!

Because I can hold onto it for a while and the value will not drastically drop.In the mean time I can have a lot of fun with it.

I think I told this story once before, but here it is again.

I'm a big time computer gamer. Back in the early 1990's Electronic Arts released a game called Need for Speed. It was one of the first racing games I played. It had officially licensed cars and included an NSX. After trying all of the cars, I found that the NSX was the only one that I could drive very well. So, I started looking around for info on NSX's and was very impressed after reading reviews. At that time I decided to set a goal to get one someday. It took almost 10 years, but I finally got one.

One of the other factors in my decision, was the rarity of the car, especially here in Evansville.

When I began shopping for an NSX, there were no other cars on my list of cars to consider. In fact, I never drove (or sat in) an NSX until I test drove mine. The NSX was the only car I wanted.

Simple - because I wanted one and that's good enough reason for me.

I had just put money down to get on the S2000
waiting list when my NSX showed up in the classifieds. I've lusted after the car since '91.I took one look at my red on black
'92 and bought it immediately after the test drive. Buy an early model NSX, there's no better value in the sports car marketplace.

Because it is exotic, yet PRACTICAL

JimK, couldnt agree more...it is the best value out there if fun for money is the equation used.

personally, i dont think a 100k ferrari owner has any more fun in his exotic than i do!!!

as my friend says, "that nsx is a giggle factory"

I really don't know why. There are so many reasons why.

It certainly is in an addiction. Sometimes wish I never got hooked.

Cuz I was dry for a LONG time and thought it would help my sex life.

4 1/2 years later...

...was a total waste of money in that regard, but it DOES drive well.

cause I get 26mpg around town.

But, actually because I wanted an exotic car that feels good to drive, turns heads, is exclusive, has reasonable performance.

and..

that I can drive every day,
is comfortable in summer and winter,
has low maintenance costs (so I can afford the high payments)
smile.gif

and gets good gas mileage. (yes.. 26 around town) I love efficency.

I couldn't think of any other car that would suit.

ps... and if my company thinks i'm making too much money, I can tell them.... "yeah.. but its a Honda... you know.. they make the civic"
