I just downloaded a U2 concert that comes in .flac format, so now I have to convert it. Does anyone know of a good converter out there that is freeware based? I don't want to buy a program simply because I don't plan on converting thousands of flac files.

try winamp with the flac plugin.
you could setup a playlist with all your files and output them as mp3 or wav's quite easily, or just listen to them in Winamp!

On another note, with winamp so easy to use and of course at such a great price, why in the world would others write software to compete with it and try to charge for it?
