Whoohoo! Billy qualifies 3rd. :)

Sebring is very entertaining and challenging track to go fast on..Stay out of trouble billy!

Race was yesterday. Lost clutch. But also lost ride in 12 hours due to "being too good".

strange..the only way I could see a driver for hire "being too good" means too expensive.Or so good he would bruise the egos of the existing drivers:confused:

New rules. Silver certified drivers need to make up certain percentage in gtd. Billy just got promoted to gold and that meant promoted out of a job.

as a gold he can only drive prototypes?

I am still trying to get a handle on the changes with the Tudor series but I believe each team needs a certain number of silver drivers in that gtd category and there are fewer "fast silvers" like Billy "was". Gold puts him in the same league as retired F1 drivers, etc. and there are more of them unemployed so the competition to get a ride is much greater than it was a fast silver.

ah,so as a new gold he is competing for drives with all sorts of "named" drivers.....makes sense.

Thanks for the support! It wouldn't be an issue if the ratings were consistent but there are quite a few drivers who have won championships and have greater accomplishments than me and a few other unjust golds who are rated silver. The system puts american drivers at a disadvantage to more experienced european drivers.

That is a shame......and we wonder why racing seems so euro centric ...even in our own country they rig it to favor the "other" guys.
