Last week my friend notice that there was a very light white smoke coming from the rear vent of my car. Recently I had the valve cover gaskets replaced prior to the heavy white smoke. I may need them to be retightened again. Also I have read from the following thread that vtec seals could also contribute to this problem. Is it also called moon seal because my mechanic had pointed out that these may also need to be replaced as he noticed a small leak from there.

Yeah in my case it wasn't the VTEC seals -- I think it was probably just some oil that had leaked from a sloppy change. It only happened a couple of times and then went away. If the mechanic specifically noted a leak in the VTEC seals, it would seem that this would likely be the culprit.

I'm glad that your problem is gone. When I asked my friend who used to be a car mechanic for the Royal family he told me it could be the case of the exhaust manifold or somewhere on the exhaust need to be retightened again. Sympthom like engine losing it responsiveness (feel sluggish) due to losing back pressure may be caused by this. My mechanic will be back on Thursday so I'm going to wait till then. On a side note my friend told me not to worry because and to check the motor oil level to see if it is leaking which I don't think it would except for the moon seal side (not much though).

Few other things that I will change end of this month i.e. oil pan gasket, moon seal, fuel pump regulator, front shocks and maybe main relay. To be repair also will be A/C compressor and replace filter dryer. Serious $$$ but nothing is too much for my NSX.

After spending many hours checking some number of threads I can confirm the white smoke was cause by a small leak in the cam Plugs (moon seal?). I will call the dealership to see if they are available. Also I wonder what could render the enigne to lack responsiveness. Spark plugs are new, air filter is OEM, throttle body has been serviced.
