Good day!

I tried to find an answer for this but I didn't find anything useful, my '00 NSX doesn't seem to work well with OBDII MX neither the Cable one they have, it connected once or twice but I want to get something reliable
I am planning on having a display that will output the readings and would know whether it is my connection that doesn't work or needs fixing or just that the scanners I used aren't that great! I tried on some other cars and they seem to work perfectly with some and some not so very.

I appreciate the help :)

The NSX does not have a fast bus and it seems that connections are sometimes flaky. I also have had the best success with a BT1 on iOS. I also have a Kiwi3, which is supposedly receiving a firmware update (you can do it yourself with Android) to improve connection issues.

I have been looking into this very question. Silly question, but will those info cubes sold at Best Buy do the same trick? They seem to capture data and they (if I read the ad correctly) claim to be able to give operating environment data.

On second thought, would we not be able to get software and connect via USB to serial port and just download to our laptops? Is the machine language an issue to convert to something we can analyze? Someone way smarter than me surely would know (but, isn't that what tuners are doing when they analyze?)

Woah, A lot of responses, I did not check earlier due to the email I registered with, I just changed it to my current webmail.

anyhow, I have read all the responses, I liked the Kiwi3 the most because of the compatibility with many platforms. but I will do go over each one to make sure that I will get the right one for the project.

many thanks guys, I really appreciate it :)

I have an old INNOVA 3110. It seems to work fine on any 1997+ NSX I have plugged it into. Online updates keeps it current. It is a very simple device, that at min reports the code, so you have to look it up on the INNOVA web site for more info.
I guess old is key, as a 1997 - 2005 NSX is old as well. I am sure you can buy these used now for next to nothing.

This product covers all 7 car technologies available today.....

Which version do you have exactly? Cause it's the same one I have, doesn't connect at all. I don't know whether it's a defect in the device or its my car. I still have to try other scanners

I do not know the version, but originally when I installed the app on my phone it did not connect either, in fact I sent it back and got a replacement. What I found was once I uninstalled the app on my phone and reinstalled it, all worked fine.

I would give that a shot. Mine connects immediately now;).
