Guys, I was just wondering, when standing next to these cars, which car has the lowest stance, or roof height...I know the NSX is already low, but are these even lower?

According to Edmunds, here are the heights of these three vehicles, in inches:

Corvette 47.7
Viper 47.6
NSX 46.1

Cool. thanks guys. I was curious, cause I used to own a '93 Rx-7 which was lowered...I thought it was low until I pulled up next to a lowered NSX, and damn...was that car low....

Try parking a stock NSX right next to a 360, and you will see how height the 360 is.

speak of the devil...I was just gonna ask about the 360's height.....I see the same one driving around my neighboorhood, and that thing looks FLAT!! How high is the 360 anyways?

Lotus Europa is really low, too.. 42.5 inches.. What other cars are low?

FWIW,
I would not want to drive anything lower than a Europa. The extra 4 inches of height the NSX has makes it so much more visible. When driving in the Europa you must assume that people do not see you (even though you would think that they could hear you!). I have had many instances when I have looked at the driver of a car, observed that he/she looked right over the top of my car without seeing it, and turned into my lane. This happens alot! You learn to drive making sure that the lanes next to you are clear. Apparently it also applies when someone is coming up behind. I have been rear-ended twice in my years of ownership. Both times the driver of the basher (me being the bashee) claim they never saw that a car was stopped in their lane. Happily they were low speed crashes as the first time it happened I was stopped for a traffic cop, the second time for a light, so the basher-mobiles were slowing down. BTW, my car measures just under 42 inches empty and the springs are in spec. Yeah I know that R&T listed it as 42.5 inches. One thing about old Loti, nothing is standard. Lotus kept playing with the front springs through the run of the TC's and the Specials. The S1 Europas are 40.5 inches tall. They look really low, even to me. S2's are somewhere in between.

You seem to forget the original GT 40 : 40 inches high,

and the Mc Laren F1 is not bad at all with its 43 inches,

and the Campagna T-Rex is 42 inches,

and a typical F1 race car is only about 1 meter high !!! ( less than 39 inches ).

That being said, a lowered NSX can easily be in the 43,5 inches range!

Seemed obvious that a 360 Modena is higher than an NSX. So bulky design... not ugly but bulky.

Have you ever sit in one, as easy as climbing in a Camry...

I didn't realise that the modena was higher...visually, I guess because of its stance, the car looks much flatter than an NSX....Pictures just don't do these cars justice until you actually walk up to one...as with my encounter with the NSX in my lowered 3rd. gen Rx-7...

heres an eye opener for everyone who worships the Skyline out there, but has never seen one in person :)

Today I had my first "Exotic Car Club" experience.. Driving in Miami on 95 South and a Silver 911 twin turbo and a Lambo Murcielago were racing.. I joined in and ended up getting off at the same exit.. When I pulled up to the Black Lambo, the guy tells me "nice car" and I was like "dude, YOUR car is awesome"..

Anyways, to get to the point, I was side by side with the Murcielago and the NSX is almost as low.. I think the lambo is a tad lower but it is freaking wide!!!!

The NSX is awesome.. if I would pulled up in Explorer, the guy would of thought I was a stalker!

lol

Very interesting post. I thought the 360 was lower than the x.

man, that lotus looks as though someone stepped on it, or the middle section is sagging....must be hell to drive....

Actually it is a total joy to drive. There is nothing like driving a 1500 pound car with a power to weight ratio just under the NSX. All the room in the world for 2, as long as you are under 6 foot tall. I agree, however, that Europas are a little funny looking. I guess they got them that low by having Colin Chapman stomp on them before the resin set up fully. They look much better when you are driving them.

A little off topic but relevent in terms of the NSX hight.

I went to the movies and parked in the security patroled garage (theres a few spaces that are seperated by a wall between other parking spaces, must have been made for the NSX). When leaving the movies, there is a slew of traffic since the movies all end around the same time at night. I took one of two exits out of the parking garage. Unfortunately, the lady for at the checkout (where you pay before you leave) told me that I had to drive around to the other exit since her exit was closed. Up ahead they had construction barriers blocking the exit out to the road. Why didn't they say something before I got to the cashier is beyond me.

Well, after doing a 20 point turn and fighting traffic to get back around to the other exit. The Lady at the next exit kept yelling at me "Al Otro Ado!!!" Whish I believe is (the other side) in spanish. I'm Jamaican, not spanish, and not too suprisingly, she didn't speak a word of English, so how do I explain to her that I just CAME from the other side!!

Well, Thats all I can stands cuz I can't stands NO MORE!! After you pay, the cashier raises a wooden yellow/orange striped arm for you to leave. My NSX was low enough that I just drove under the damn thing and gave the universal sign for "thank you" with my middle finger.

Did I feel bad for not paying? Well, not really since they RIP you off at times with the ever fluctuating price of parking in the garage. But, the NSX is worth it.

Sorry, just thought it was ammusing how she just slipped right under the lever arm. And no...the arm didn't even touch the roof thus no damage at all.

Hey Blades.. What movie theatre were you at so I know which theatre I should try that at...

I also live in Miami...

Are you joining the drive this weekend to Key Biscayne?

Good story..

Is your car lowered?
