Hey fellas, I may be in downtown San Fran sometime next week for a very short 3 days or so. Any happening places you guys recommend as far as ethnic restaurants, I prefer something hip & trendy and preferably Asian. Also watering holes-- no cheesy dance clubs or pretentious clubs w/ a huge line to get in, just something cool with both a lounge atmosphere w/ great music & dance floor, but not a full blown dance club. Any other must see suggestions? Chinatown, winery tour, Alcatraz, etc? Any help is kindly appreciated!

I was there a few months back and the Fishermans Wharf was a blast. I would check that out.

Private me and I'd be happy to recommend a few places. Do you already have a place to stay, or do you need hotel ideas as well?

But one thing, please don't get caught calling our city "Cisco", or 'Frisco, or even San Fran. Locals don't like that at all. "San Francisco" is good or "The City" works too. Not a reprimand, just advice.

If you have any questions at all I highly suggest taking Ken's (ChoppsJazz) advice. When I was out there last month he and Patti, and the rest of the gang did a great job at recommending places to go. He also know's a few good roads to sight see. If you decide to go on a drive I know where you can rent a BMW MRoadster that wasn't beaten on too badly. :D

If you go into Napa... you MUST go to V. Sattui winery... I don't drink, but that's the only wine I have ever liked. It's pretty good. It also helps that they're about the only place I could find with FREE tastings. My wife was diggin' on that place something fierce. ^_^
