Where to get key cut?

Hey y'all,

I just bought one of those titanium-look keys for my car (it never came with one...damn thieving past owners). What does Acura need in order to cut my key? I never had the orig or I don't have the code on the side of it for their cutter. Does the VIN# work?

Its a pricey key and I just don't want to bugger it up at Crapola Tires.

YES, an Acura dealer can cut the key from your VIN#.
(be sure to bring the car or proof of ownership with you)
I had a spare plastic Acura key made for about $12, including cutting the key, about 3 weeks ago, at the dealer)

I spoke to Acura dealer here a week ago about ordering another one (titanium) and the stock regular key for a extra spare too, and he looked at the status in the computer and said there is no charge on this key to cutt, I believe 91-96 theres no fee here, I am not sure about proof of ownership to get it done, never asked,but I was told it was free.Call your local Acura dealer and see what thay say.
