Where can I find test numbers?

Anyone know of a comprehensive compilation of test numbers for the NSX? If there's not one, perhaps we could establish one here?

What I'm looking for exactly is a list of the numbers/times/distances of NSX road tests and comparison test given by different testers in different areas. For example, I would like to see "Car and Driver's" test numbers along side "Road and Track's" test numbers, alongside "Motor Trend's" test numbers.

I would also be nice to see these tests for as many model years as possible.

Well, you could look in the FAQ, at the "performance" section under the "Technical Info" heading... nah, that's too obvious.

what i would like to see is a direct comparison between a 3.0L NSX AND A 3.0L E36 BMW M3,0-60,standing quater, top end and round a track, because my brother has got a M3 and he is always putting the NSX down, only two seats, small boot, too expensive, blah, blah, blah, and he is really p!ss!ng me off.so if any one has any data on this i would love to share it.

It will be tough to find a direct comparison between an NSX and an E36 M3, because they are nowhere near each other in capabilities. It's like looking for a comparison between an NSX and a Miata. Remember, the E36 M3 has less power (240 hp) and is heavier (~3200 pounds).

I'm sure you know that typical times for the 3.0-liter NSX Coupe are 5.3 0-60 and 13.8 in the 1/4 mile. Typical times for the E36 M3 are 5.6 0-60 and 14.2 in the 1/4 mile (Road & Track, 5/97).

The E46 M3 is a different story and can post numbers similar to a 3.2-liter NSX-T.

the E36 M3 has more like 280 bhp or thereabouts, and the 3.2 E36 M3 has about 320 bhp.i know this because my brother was only to happy to point it out to me.i also think that the comparison is a fair one because both cars are six cylinder, both are 3.0L they post similar 0-60 times.my brother who is as passionate about BMW'as i am about NSX's also informs me that the early 3.0L M3's did not have a 155mph restrictor on them and that they were good for about 160+. indeed a freind of mine at work has one and he told me that he has recorded 162mph on his trip computer,so i think the two cars are close,i am just hoping that the NSX is the one that would come out on top performance wise, because we ALL know which one looks the best

Ken was referring to the US spec M3, which does have 240hp. Since you are in the UK, my guess is that you are referring to the Euro Spec.

There is a broken link in the gallery section that show's a Type S against a Euro M3. Although you can't see the entire race, from the thumbnail you can tell that the NSX won hands down.

yes i was refering to the euro spec,i didn't realise that the US spec was lower.
i wish that link wasn't broke so i could shut my bro up though!

Obviously, I didn't notice that you were in the UK. The Euro-spec E36 is a very different animal. They didn't bring that engine to North America because they wanted to keep the price down.

I would guess that you'll have to look in European sources - magazines, websites, etc - for specs on the Euro version of the E36...

the eurospec e36's had 286hp to be exact, and around 97 when we got the bump to 3.2lts they also got the bump, but whereas our hp didn't get raised theirs was raised to 321hp. one important thing to note however is the torque on both the US and Euro versions are very close, each producing approx 217lb-ft (95-96) and 226lb. ft (97+). The euro's are highway monsters i think an nsx would be hard pressed to beat a 3.2 with 321hp, however i do think it would be a close race where you cannot predict the winner.
