Jinks, I'm missing the point on what has spending countless thousands on NSX parts for your first generation NSX have to do with the new NSX?
Knowing a number of the project team on the new NSX, I've found them to be very bright people who know their business.
I have faith, maybe misplaced, that there is a lot more about the new NSX that we are all still learning about, beyond magazine tests.
I also think the NSX factory is producing a very high quality car.
However I would agree Honda is still learning the ins and outs or marketing a car in the segment the new NSX is in.
I think perhaps what some are missing is these cars, NSX, R8Plus, 911TT etc. are driven at their maximum less than 5 % of the time.
The other 95 % and by far the biggest determinant of an owner's satisfaction is how the vehicle handles the other 95 %.
And I say owners because the magazine testers are all focused on the less than 5% of a cars use.
An interesting fact so far from new NSX owners is every owner likes driving around in Quiet/Sport mode.
Silent operation or minimal engine involvement, excellent mileage.
Feels like a stealth aircraft.
A benefit of the hybrid drive system but you won't read about it in the magazine tests.
