Well, after 6 long years of waiting it finally happened!! I picked up my dream '91 blk/blk NSX in prestine condtion last Friday   The previous owner (monteman) took absolutely fantastic care of it and also installed some very tasteful mods.

Monte: It was a pleasure to meet and deal with you. Thanks for making it such a smooth transaction albeit the obstacles and thanks for taking such good care of her.

I'd like to thank Mike (mmmikemo) for checking the car out for me. His depiction of the car was extremely accurate although I really don't think there are words to describe how it really looks in person.

The 900+ mile road trip back home a success... almost... 3 hours from home at 11PM a little critter, probably a racoon or opposum, decides to take a run out in the middle of the road and ended up taking a stroll underneath my car. More about the roadkill incident in another post (I have a few questions regarding repair). But I'm pleased to say it is sitting safely in my garage at the moment and will be back in its original prestine condition very soon.

My digital camera is sent in for repair/replacement and will be back in a few weeks. Will post pics once I get it back. Here are some pictures that Monte sent when it was in his possesion (hope you don't mind me sharing them, Monte:wink:)

Just about had to pick up my jaw off the floor when I saw this photo!

Congratulations. It must feel remarkably satisfying to have worked and waited and wanted for those years and finally have this wonderful car in your possession. It is truly a great joy that few will get to have. Love the wheels and lowered look. What other mods are on the car????

Good luck.....be safe.....and drive it as often as you can, your endorphins will thank you. Its too much fun to leave in the garage.......Steve

Thanks everyone! needspeed, the mods are:

Forgeline WC3 3-piece wheels 18x8 (225/35) fronts, 18x10 (275/35) rears on Nitto 555's (slight rub on full lock)
Eibach springs
Dali exhaust
RM intake
SOS mesh engine cover
Clear bra

Timing belt/water pump and 60K completed w/55K miles currently.

Man, this car is LOW!! Never thought I'd be driving a car and looking up at a Civic:eek: The dali exhaust and RM intake make the most gorgeous music! Will be taking it into Brookfield Acura tomorrow for her first oil change (going up to MN for a wedding this weekend).

needspeed, never seen an '05 in person, would love to see yours someday.

Glad it worked out and the car went to such a good home. I'm certain that you're going to take fantastic care of it. Keep us informed on how it goes and HAVE FUN!!!

Jesus, that car really shines! :) Nice combo with the Ferrari. Why the NSX in the upper parking space?

Because if anything should happen, only the Ferrari will be lost.

Thanks, Monte! I'm truly enjoying the car and am still in awe everytime I open my garage. It's been washed twice already - and it hasn't even been a week  Once by me and once complimentary of Brookfield Acura (those guys rock!!)

That goes without saying...

And thanks everyone for the warm welcome. But I think there's a bit of misinterperatation. The Ferrari belongs to Monte and as stated in my first post these are pictures taken when it was in his possesion. He's keeping the Ferrrari and very fortunately for me, I ended up with his NSX!
