I am in the market for some new wheels and I have narrowed my choices down to the Work Meister S2R and the Volk Racing GT-P.(17x8, 18x10 w/ h&r springs) Could anyone give the the pros, cons, and opinions of these wheels? Also, who has the best deals on wheels and tires?

Thanks

I have the Volk Racing GT-P running with Koni shocks and H&R springs. The only cons with these wheels is that it's a bitch to clean. There is a space between the rim and the face of the wheels that's hard to get to. As far as good prices, I got a great deal at Wheeloptions. www.wheeloptions.com

Just curious why you are looking at using the spacers for the Volk wheels. Are the offsets that negative?

Chris,

Due to my lack of knowledge of wheel terminology, I think this will explain it.

Hondapower -

I've seen Option2's car in person and I must say the wheels are SWEET! But of course this is just my opion. I took some close up pics of his wheels while we were at the AutoZotica event about a month ago. I'll see if I can find them and post.

Hi Option2, remember me? My wife and I sat at the table with you during lunch.

Hondapower,

I second Option 2. After I saw his pictures in the picture forum about a month ago, I ordered the Volks from the same guy (Vic) at Wheel Options. I had nice rims before that, Racing Hart C2's and was kinda worried that I'd be replacing them w/ an inferior wheel. I just wanted a different look. All I can say is that as soon as opened the first box, I knew I made the right choice. The GT-P's are awesome. The finish is top notch, they're light, the rear lip is deep. The look is aggressive. As for cleaning, the C's were a mesh design, so these are alot easier for me to clean. The slot that Option 2 is refering to can easily be cleaned w/ a thin sponge or cloth & your index finger.

option2,

Do those wheels have centercaps (to cover the lug nuts)? I think the wheels look great, but I prefer the lugs covered (like mine below)

Center caps do not come with the wheels and the center caps do not cover the bolts it only covers the area where the hub nut is. If I remember right, the center caps go for $25-$50 a piece. Wheels do have a "cleaner" look when the bolts are hidden. I don't mind it much with the bolts exposed though.
