Wheel Spacer question

It depends. If you put the spacer on and the wheel hub bore still has a little hub to sit on, then you are ok. If not, then the wheels will be held by the studs alone and that's taking a risk. Most people on Prime say that 3mm w/o longer studs is ok. 5mm usually requires longer studs; somtimes not, but usually.

H&R includes longer studs with their 5mm spacers. But I did'nt use them and have no problems. I've also done this with previous cars with no pros.

i purchsed some ARP stud bolts...but now looking at the service manual install looks like its going to be a PITA.

btw, i'm running the 5mm spacers for the rears and not the fronts. Either way it should probably make no difference.

With 10mm, you NEED spacers. I'm not sure about 5mm spacers, and I wouldn't doubt people running them with no problem.

But...I would strongly advise getting longer studs. Consider it insurance. Just like changing the timing belt and water pump, if you don't, it can be an expensive mistake. Just my 2 cents...
