Wheel Sensor

my ABS light is throwing up falt code 71 which indicate a faulty wheel sensor on my front right. My car is a right hand drive

Does anyone know if a LHD wheel sensor is same as the RHD if they are on the same side..??

The left and the right side of the car is the same no mater which side the steering wheel is on.

Just that they have different part number whe I check on my UK catalogue compare with the US ones online...

What are the 2 part numbers.

the one that i need on my catalogue is

57450-SL0-020 Right side front for a right hand drive

The one on US catalogue is

57450-SL0-030, this is a right side front on a left hand drive..

57455-SL0-020 is a left hand side front for a left hand drive..

Because of the change in steering wheel position the wire length may be different on a RHD car. I would get the correct one locally, or you may be cutting and splicing a few wires.

Do these things go bad?...It's just a magnet picking up a pulse off the wheel hub. I would try a cleaning first.

i have tried cleaning them.. but still throw a code of 71 on the abs light.. also tcs light shows a code of 42 (may be 41) i cannot remember..

Both indicate a faulty wheel sensor on the right front
