Guys I've just completed my widebody and put the wheels on friday before a show and now i've got the tyre rubbing after 2 turns on the inside/chassis

I've got 225/40 18 which I know is too tall it should be 215/35 or 225/35 18 but is it that or my offset of 18x8 et24 or both ?

Also I have TCS problems I'm guessing thats got to do with the tires being too tall ?

Thanx in advance
Nico

TCS problems don't occur because tires are too tall. They occur when the relation of front/rear diameter is more than about 5% off the stock relation.

So the real question is, "What is he running in the rear?" Nico?

275/30 19

and I dont have wheel liners..

I just checked
215/40 17 is 604 diameter
215/35 18 is 608
225/35 18 is 638
225/40 18 is 640
235/30 18 is 600

So I'm tempted 235/30 18 its a new size by Toyo Proxes T1R.
It should solve the TCS and scrubbing problem.
Also it should have the same setup as 02 OEM 215/40 17 and 255/40 17 with my 235/30 18 and 275/30 19 ???

Opinions appreciated.

Your 225/40-18 size is 8.7 percent  larger than '92 stock, and your 275/30-19 size is 2.6 percent larger than stock. That means that you are changing the ratio of the front to rear outer diameters by 6.1 percent, which is why your TCS is having problems.

It will certainly solve the TCS problem, since it's 2.4 percent larger than stock. However, it might still rub. I would stick with 215/35-18, which will not rub (and is 3.7 percent larger than stock, in case you're wondering).

I don't understand your question.
