Can anyone recommend a wheel refinisher and repairer near western PA / Pittsburgh?

Thanks, Andy

Thanks for the reply - I know I could ship to them or anyone for that matter but I specifically am looking for referrals in my physical area. Thanks for the reply and to anyone who may reply!

Here's the link to the website for Wheel Collision Center in Bath PA.

Another place that is highly regarded is Ye Olde Wheel Shoppe in Elkridge MD (no website).

These two places are not far from each other (160 miles) and are among the best and most experienced wheel repair shops in the country. Many smaller cities either have no wheel repair shops, or have one that's nowhere near as good as those two.

However, if you want a wheel repair shop that's right in Pittsburgh, you can try this place. I found it on the 'net and I have zero experience with them. There are also some franchised wheel repair guys who travel to your location (such as this one). Again, I have zero experience with them.

Guys, thanks a ton, I really appreciate it. I looked around some online before asking here, but I didn't see Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists until your post. So, thanks.

Ken - best of luck with your sale!

we really don't have active members from Pittsburgh in our NE forum so you could have some very good local shops...you might have to broaden your search criterior, good luck.

I have used Alloy Wheel Repair on my TL and TSX wheels with great results. The cost is an average of $100 per to refinish the wheel. There is a patent on their repair system...

Perfect, thanks for all the input, a few great options. I don't have an NSX yet, this one is for my 2002 160k mile Accord for which I don't have the luxury to remove the wheels and ship them anywhere. The car is unreal, I keep maintaining it and it keeps driving like it's 10k miles old. If this is what I have to look forward to with owning an NSX, I simply can not wait. It's silver and when cleaned up it looks brand new from 10 feet other than the strangely deteriorating alloy wheels and a few bumper rubs from being parked outside on city streets for four years now. The rims have few if any curb rash marks - it's more as if some random genie adds light gouges and scrapes to various parts of the wheels it at night.

Also the center "H" honda sticker or badges have long worn away - any recommendations where to buy wheel trim items like this other than a dealer?

The time has come though to spray the bumper rubs, preventatively tend to some very small areas where rust is starting, and tend to the wheels so the car doesn't look so clumsy - when cleaned up it looks like a dude wearing a sharp tuxedo but with scruffy shoes and some light wear marks at the knees...

OEM items like that are sold new mostly at dealers and rarely elsewhere, but some dealers discount by 25 percent over the internet (and you can often get similar discounts in person if you're nice to the folks who work in your dealer's parts department). You can sometimes find used ones on eBay, but not very often, since it's a part that commonly wears or gets lost.
