Wheel lug torque

Should the 80# setting be used even if aftermarket wheels?

Changing the wheels should not change the torque you apply on the wheel studs. If you over torque you may warp a rotor or break a stud.

In other words, yes, same for aftermarket wheels as stock ones.

and what should that torque amount be? I have mine torqued at 80 ft/lb according to the shop.
