The horsepower wars are getting a little crazy now. Mercedes has just released the CL600 and S600 with twin turbo V12s pushing 500hp and 500tq. They now have the Maybach, SL55, E55, S55, CL600, and S600 all pushing close to 500 hp and sub 5 sec 0-60. The SL600 and CLK55 will probably soon follow.
What's up with Mercedes and all the HP?

Yeah and BMW M is supposed to quickly follow and match the hp wars.

and yet the NSX still has 290
It shows mercedes poor design teams...they save $ by the use of turbos to make power from out dated 3 value per cylinder SOHC engines while bmw presses the NA extremes.....Why doesnt BMW start Turboing ???

hehe even for the last couple years...the M3 sports way over 300...z06-400, viper-500...they are just following pace...even the lower WRX, EVo, NeonSrt, all MUCH faster for the price tag....250 isnt even alot anymore...a CL/TL-S has even more!

Lets wait till '04~'05 next nsx might rock our world. Present 290hp NSX is doing 4.9 seconds 0~60, but what about 400hp new NSX ?

I love the new SL500. It's simply beautiful and has tremendous road presence.
Of course, the SL55 AMG is the car to get!

Maybe many of us dreamer forget that those cars cost more than three times the cost of the used '91 NSX we own... desiring is nice but the reality is different!
