What was your favorite mod. Two catagories!

O.K., Lets here from all you rookies. Your favorite mods where and where not....
1. Performance mod: What do you feel was best spent. Headers? Chip? Combo of a few? Sway bars and shocks? Supercharger? What do you think was a waste of money? (be honest)
2. Aesthetic mod: Wheels and tires? Lowering? Body kit? Paint? What would not do again?

1. Best performance mod is suspension, I went with Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs. I should have got the HA Tien coil over. The waste of money winner is RM chin spoiler with brake duct. It didn't last too long before it is left on the road. It is like a disposal item.

2. wheels and tires #1, #2 racing seats. #3 is lowering the car which is accomplished in suspension mod.
 
where do i get these tien coilovers?
 
#1 Best Performance Mod = Sway Bars. Most useless mod K&N FIltercharger Kit. $275 and no power gain...(noise gain was ok though)

#2Havent done any Aesthetic Mod's except the Dali Gruppe M NSX/R Shifter and Honda Emblem...
Both are ok.
 
performace: hum...thay are all my favorites, otherwise I wouldn't get them. I guess my TEIN is wonderful!

waste of money: Comptech air-box

Looks department: wheels, lowering, JGTC diffuser.

MOST WANTED

performance: 6-speed with 4.55

looks: full marga hills bodykit(soon)

For trackin'
- Dali sway bars (the only adjustable ones on the US market)!
- Comptech non-compliance bushings & end-links!
- TAR-OX brake kit
- SO2 PP tires!

For boulevard pimpin'
- Wheels (for 1991-1993 NSX)!
- ScienceofSpeed/Erebuni chin spoiler with ScienceofSpeed brake duct kit
- Top painted white!

Tein RA Coilovers, eh?

Can those who have put these on please describe why you like them so?

What are these like? Suitable for street use, or just for those who track their cars?

I love the firm, taut, controlled, but not harsh feeling of the NSX. Do the Tein's enhance this even more?

If so, where did you purchase them?

There are 2 types of Tien for the NSX, HA and RA, I can't even remember which one is better (the expensive one, RA I believe, $1700 and $2600). They are adjustable and are not progressive springs like Eibach. Alot of road racers don't like Progressive springs as it floats at high speeds. I know one can purchase it from http://www.pm-importing.com, but they are very expensive. I would think the members here can direct you into a cheap place to purchase them.

It is good for the street since it is adjustable. From my butt feel, it is stiffer than Eibach and Bistein shocks on the softest settings, but then again Eibach is progressive so the street ride should be good.

TEIN RA has 10kg front and 12kg/mm rear springs, read=very hard. I wouldn't want these for street driving. my cars jumps around like a bouncing basketball on rough roads. However, they are a dream to drive on at the track.

If you want, they are $2200 shipped to your door. Deliver time 2 month, as they are special order items.

Also, they are imported by many other places, so it shouldn't be hard to get them.
