hi, i only have 2 screws for each liscense plate on my car. You think if I get a screw from Home depot, or Lowes, it will damage the paint?
This might be a dumb quesiton, but I would rather be safe then sorry.

Or should i get OEM screws? lol

Are you asking about the front license plate or the rear license plate?

The front license plate is attached using a bracket (license plate holder) that attaches from underneath. This way, there is no need to drill holes into the front end of the NSX. Please don't do this. If you need to attach the front plate and you don't have the stock bracket, I'm sure there is someone on this list who would be happy to sell his. Use the screws that come with the bracket.

In the rear, two screws should be sufficient to hold the plate securely.

hey, no I do have the bracket. look at this diagram
1---------2
| MYNSX |
3---------4

I only have screws 1 and 2
there are 2 more wholes which is missing screw 3 and 4. I just want all screws to be on there to be secure for sure.

For the rear it is the same, I only have screws 1 and 2 for the rear, missing 3 and 4

There are already holes there, I'm asking if I should get 4 more screws from home depot or not

If you can get screws from Home Depot that fit, sure, go for it.

Try to get stainless steel screws so they don't rust...

got ya, I'm on my way to home depot now

lol I just didn't want to get some screws that would effect the paint in some way. I hope they have black colored stainless steel screws

You might want to remove one of the screws and take it with you...and SS is a good idea. I've also seen Nylon screws which also work well.

yup lol, I got the wrong screws.. I guess my other screws weren't stainless steel, but I'm still going to get stainless steel

So here is the the real deal! I use screws from mountian bikes (the kind you pedal) The screws you want are the ones for the brake boss's. They are 5mm allen cap style, they look cool, and if you have a nice license plate cover they deter ,though do not prevent, theft. They are thread pitch you need they are chromed or black annodized. You can also get them in Titanum or aluminum if you are so inclined. Point here, is they look good, don't rust, are cheap, and deter theft. You get your cake and can eat it too.
