We did this survey last year, but with LCD's becoming mainstream and widescreen LCD's now affordable, it's time for an update.

If you're running Windows and not sure follow these instructions:

1) Click START, then SETTINGS and CONTROL PANEL.
2) The Control Panel will appear. Click on the DISPLAY icon. (WinXP users: you may need to click 'Appearance and Themes' first)
3) A dialogue box will appear. Click on the SETTINGS tab. (See attached picture)
4) Below it will have an area titled "Screen Resolution". (See red circle in attached picture)

Thank you again everyone who voted correctly.

I should add, you can select multiple resolutions if you have a dual monitor setup, and if you use NSX Prime at home as well as work. ;)

If you use a resolution not listed, either pick the nearest one or post what you use to show everyone you use a 'customized' res. No 'stock' resolution for j00. :)

And if you don't care, but dont want to miss out on a poll use the last option. :D

I got 1680 x 1050 (WS), mate

Glad to see you made it back to Oz land ok Neo. It was a pleasure meeting you in Houston.

Howdie Y'awl. :D

1680x1050 - i guess that makes you special... just like those 10am Margaritas you guys had. ;) It was a privilege meeting you guys. I had so much fun in Houston & it was all legal.

hahaha, c'mon Neo. Margaritas don't know what time it is. We only drink alcohol in the morning when we have out-of-town guests
Whenever your back in town, we'll have to take you to the places that are illegal then

nice avatar, btw.

Hey Don Neo ..
Howdy, mate ?? You should've had those morning margaritas too that day!!

BTW, .. back to topic .. I run the full 1600x1200 on my laptop screen, but whenever at work, I have it connected to a dual screen setup with both monitors running 1600x1200 each (Unfortunately, they're not LCD-s).

Cheers .. Gus

2560x1024 because of dual 1280X1024 LCDs in span mode ever since 2003. :)

Apple 30" 2560x1600. One of my coworkers has two of them side by side! Another has two of the bad-ass IBM displays side by side (I think they are 3840 x 2400 each  ).

I voted 1280x1024 @ work, 1280x800 @ home

i always wanted to know how you guys took those shots of a screen. Digital cam? or something in windows?

In Windows, I use the [Print Screen] button and then I open Microsoft Paint, then click Edit, then choose paste. I then save the file on my desktop and then attach onto a message on NSX Prime.

At work, I'm still using 1920x1200 and 1024x1280, but my primary display is now a Dell 24" widescreen LCD (used to be a Sony 21" CRT). Note: second monitor is in vertical orientation for reading text (i.e. browsing Prime)...and I see I'm not alone in doing this.

Do you remember the Apple 2E game, swash buckler?
My two favorite Apple IIe games were "Karateka" and "1 on 1: Dr J. vs. Larry Bird". SWEETNESS!!!

And let's not forget my favorite IIe program of all time: Broderbund's FANTAVISION!!! :D

2x 1600x1200 desktop
1x 1400x1050 laptop

How do you run two external monitors from your notebook?
I have a Margi Display to go PCMCIA video card, so the second external monitor is connected to this card, and the first external goes to the laptop's VGA port output.
The Margi card is not really fast but good enough to use for normal office apps.

Actually I can do 3 monitor with my setup, but since the laptop is at an angle with the external monitor, I chose not to use the laptop screen.

Cheers .. Gus
