Hi everybody,

Going to change my tranny oil and was wondering what kind of oil to use. I've read the FAQ about the different types of oils that are available and some of the comments. I know the Synthetic oils offer the best protection and all, but what brand do you use and are you happy with your decision - Does your tranny shift smoothly?

Any info you can give me is appreciated. I’ve also read about using Synthetic motor oil in the tranny, any comments?

I've tried Redline MTL, synthetic motor oil (either Mobil 1 or Pennzoil), and Honda fluid. I haven't had any problems with shifting and didn't notice any differences from one to another. I've mostly stuck with the Honda fluid though.

Mother Honda has a new tranny fluid out and it's called MTF-II (Manual Transmission Fluid ULTRA)

I'm using it now and can't feel any diff.
