What is the Snap Ring Range?

I'm in the market for an NSX and keep reading other people's post asking if their cars are in the "Snap Ring Range" I used the search function but siad: No Results.

I don't know much about the X, still learning about them.

I do know that the snap ring problem was with the tranny in the 91-92 models right, and can cost thousands to fix if it breaks.

I believe the search function (the one on the whole NSXprime site) is not working.

However, the search function on the forums should have pointed you to some similar previous topics...
