What is that noise?

I recently had the cv boots replaced on my 1993. Before I took it in there was no noise coming from the rear of the car. On my way home I noticed a very faint rubbing noise. The noise is not constant but rather comes and goes with each revolution of the tires (hard to tell if it is coming from the left or right). You can hear it better when you are in traffic going slow and a tractor trailer is right next to you. Any idea? I obviously will call the shop and ask them but just wanted to see what the board thinks?

Thanks for all of the responses...

FYI the bands that come in the new Acura CV Boot Kits are not the same ones that are on our cars originally (they are a little thicker and a taller). Therefore you may here the same sound I was encountering. When you replace the CV boots if you notice a metal-to-metal rubbing noise it is the band on the CV boot rubbing the shield. Check the clearances when the job is completed and you should be good to go.
