From a wear and tear perspective, inside is always better. Leaving it out in the sun all day will dull the paint and interior. Leaving it out all day on a regular basis in the hot sun is a bad idea. If you must, use a cover.I personally prefer indoor parking regardless. I am less afraid of theft than I am of vandalism. If the car is stolen, my insurance and additional gap insurance will cover my entire cost. If my car is keyed, my 1K deductible alone will hurt the bank account. If it's outside on a small street, I cover the car at all times. Most people who would randomly damage a car will not go through the trouble of lifting the cover.I feel a car is safer inside. I keep it alarmed, clubed, and covered. If someone wants to steal it bad enough and go through the trouble of my precations there is nothing I can do. It's better than leaving it outside all the time. Out of sight, out of mind.
