Hi,

As I was going through the past events pictures, I realized that I did not really know what "Poker Rally" meant.

What exactly is it? Is "Poker" a city name in some state???

As a side note, do NSX owners in NE gather only at those events or are there non-official casual gatherings as well? Is there an email list that I should join?

Thank you!

The "Poker" part of the Poker Rally involves each car receiving a card at each of 5 stops along the drive. At the end of the day, each car then has 5 cards to play one round of draw poker for a door prize.

There are numerous "unofficial" gatherings throughout the year as members decide to get together for a dinner or just a drive. For example, there was a holiday dinner just before the new year.

The best way to learn of the events is to have Rich Hutte add your email address to the www.nsxuppereast.com site.

WoW. Poker rally sounds exciting!

For "unofficial" gathering, how is it usually organized? Is it just like, "hey, why don't we meet for dinner on Saturday", kind of thing?

Thanks for your prompt response.

"Unofficial" gatherings could be done on the spur of the moment with a quick email chain letting people know of the plans or simply calling a couple of the members and seeing if they are free for dinner, etc. Mass emailings generally get used more frequently if you are trying to get more than 10 people together. Otherwise, the nsxuppereast site will always list "major" get-togethers and will give everyone plenty of notice.

The 2003 Northeast Event calendar will be mailing during February.Included will be six (6) track days and at least five rallys or social gathering, that are still in the planning stage.Stay calm, NSX weather is just around the corner.

Wimps.

I remember when we broke the Chicago record for consecutive days of sub-freezing temperatures. 44 days.

The all-time record low in Wilkes-Barre is -11 degrees F. It gets that cold in 50 percent of our winters here. Our all-time record is -27 F.

Hey Ken, is that 44 days where the high temp never gets above 32? If so then you guys have a more volitle climate.I was amazed because I usualy get my car out every two weeks or so in the winter and today was the first day in about a month.Of course it fired right up and ran like a clock!
