Hi

I ordered some Wheel Well Retaining Clips .

I got some "Grommet screws" which does not look like the ones I had retaining my wheel well liner.

What are these grommet screws?

They have part number 90676-SA7-003

I can not use them so I guess I will be ordering some new ones, but I was wondering where these grommets are supposed to be.

Regards

I believe you can purchase Grommet screws from any adult toy store although the part number is different.

Thanks Phil

Hi Martin - I think the part you really want is the clip assy (8mm) 91545-SE0-003. Those are the push-pin button type clips that easily get broken when removing. These are item 29 below, the grommets are item 28 & you can see those go in the bottom positions in rear fender well. I seem to think I just used the button ones for these positions too.

For anyone who is unsure how to remove these properly (not particularly you Martin) you push the center pin IN a few mm below the flush position then remove the whole button. You will feel it "pop" into a detent position as you push the centre with a small screwdriver.
To re-install, you actually pull the pin out a little above the button surface, install the button assembly, then push the pin in to the flush position to lock it.

Why is this in off-topic anyway?

Hi

Well the reason for it being in off topic was that I knew what I wanted, but I got these grommet screws instead. I just wanted to know where they are supposed to be on the NSX. Thats why I put it here.

I had bad luck with a couple of the ones I removed and I need to get that fixed before I take out the NSX next year. I will order the Unifilter from Downforce and will ask them to throw in a few of them to have my liner fixed.

Regards

But Martin, surely you know that off-topic is only for tales of broken relationships & such like?

But wait - given that threads of that nature are extremely "riveting" maybe they should really be in the Technical Forum? <!--StartFragment -->

Ahh.. sorry. I guess that I forgot to tell about how I broke up with my girlfriend because of all the problems I got putting the liner back in with these grommelins

I am now a wreck

As Larry B also pointed out to me in PM's I need to order parts by partnumber to be sure to get the correct part.

Where can I find the partnumberthingy that you have posted a picture from?
