is it a ground anti-protection kinda thing.

the brains of NSXPRIME will know this.

I am tring to retro fit the OEM Ballast to work with my 92

I already have HID in my 92 but was testing something

help...

I have like 3 service manuals out and cant find it in the wiring diagram for the life of me.

no its not the turn signal

the wire in question plugs into the top of the HIB bulb like half a MM above it.

the turn signal is an actual plug

turn signal = 18/20

high beam = 5

parking = 19/17

I'm not sure of where the wire you speak of connects. I have a 02+ at the shop for repair and I'll check it out tomorrow and get back to you.

Them dang "ground anti-protection" thingies!!!!!

I hate them to pieces!

I believe that is a grounding wire to keep the bulb and ballast at the same plane. One end connects to the ballast and the other to a metal tab above the bulb. Pics are from the DIY 2002+ Headlight Fix (Bouncing) thread so disregard the arrows.

If harness in question comes from the plug in the center of the ballast and it goes to where Comtec's photos shows then Mike is right. (Nice pics BTW)

A ground. (anti-protection thingie:biggrin:)

The confusion is that in the parts blow up pic it looks like the harness is coming from the outer plug on the ballast, in which case it would be for the park lamp.

I knew it was a ground thingy,

in the first pic where the arrows are there is a black screw, right above that there is a prong thats what this wire plugs into.

in the second pic you can see the prong sticking out the back of the housing
