Hello all!

New guy here, just joined. Unfortunately, or maybe more like fortunately, I dont own an NSX. Cost is the obvious factor. This leads to my point: where do you guys go for parts for these things? I read in one thread they wanted $4,000+ for a clutch kit installed?! Obviously this from the stealership, but this seems insane to me. I mentioned to a few members the site acurapartssource.com, as they are a sister site to the Subaru parts site I go to (shopsubaruparts.com). They dont seem AS ridiculous, but still very pricey. What makes the parts for these cars call for such insane cost? Low production values? Lots of R&D behind the cars themselves?

On another note, I'd also like to introduce myself as a "certified lurker". I wont be posting noob questions like this very often as to keep the site clutter free as it is now. Its unlikely that I will post more out of this thread as well, unless it is to complement someone on their car. The reason I joined is because this is one of the first NSX forums that came up, and I like to be a part of forums where there is a wealth of knowledge to be gained. Maybe one day I will even own an NSX? It is on the dream list...

Several Acura dealers sell OEM parts at a discount online. For example:

http://www.delrayacura.com

http://acurapartswarehouse.com

I would agree many NSX parts are more expensive than I'd like but compared to other low-production, hand made cars, not unreasonable.

My concern is now that the NSX is out of production, how long will OEM parts continue to be available? Some early parts are already discontinued (like the 91-96 front spoiler).

Hey MadMax......Ahwatukee neighbor here!

You and I are blessed to have SOS just down the street from us (Hardy and Southern). They are one of the best NSX shops in the world...bar none! Just ask anyone here on the forum!

I'd check with Chris at SOS before I ordered anything from a dealer. Not only does he have a huge selection of used parts, but his prices on the new stuff is much lower than the dealer!

Ah this is the only NSX Forum.

I suppose you are correct. the other NSX leads on google are to forums like superhonda, acuraworld, etc.

i checked a random part number (center console) against the original site i posted, these guys want more. not by much though, and they have a nice exploded view and parts numbers right there! that should make it easy to cross check and get the best deal
