I just found out that i have a track in the area (close) :biggrin: . Memphis Motor sports park which i knew had a drag strip and a 3/4 mile oval also has a 1.8 mile road course that uses the drag strip as the straight (1/4 mile). It doesn't look like a great track, but what the hell do i know. Anyways something is better than nothing :smile: .
I was talking with some porsche guys today and they mentioned the track. It seems the local porsche club and others have events that would allow me the opportunity to drive the track. So cool, i didn't think there was anything closer than Atlanta. It's not really racing it's mainly just you get to run on the track but you are with other cars (all i know). Never done it before but very interested.
One of the guys gave me a card that i can call for more info and when i was leaving i thanked them for letting me know about the track and thanked the guy for the card. He said "hope to see you up there". I said "All you'll see is my tail lights" HaHa :biggrin: .
