What do you think about this one?

Friend of mine is looking at VIN# JH4NA1187TT000074.

It is a 1996 Red/Black with 34000 miles on it... The guys is saying that he is willing to let it go for 18,000. The VIN has a clean CarFax and the guy is willing to use an Escrow account to perform the transaction. Do you guys think this is safe? Got pictures of the car too.

It doesn't matter how many times the car has "shown up before" because this particular time it is a scam so why waste your efforts.

The intentions are good but it is difficult to believe anyone would fall for this. Autotrader has been replete with similar scam cars over the recent past and they really do not seem too interested in doing much to prevent such listings.

pulled from AutoTrader due to Fraud! Just wanted to give people here a heads up on it... So, if you saw it... then you should disregard it. Owner said he was from Memphis.

Scam! See if he can pay cash (I doubt it), as fraudulent escrow sites are popping up all over the internet. Escrow.com is a reputable service that charges users a percentage of the item's sales price — usually between 3 and 6 percent — but dozens of fake escrow services are drawing in consumers simply because they have "escrow" in their names. According to the site, as many as 20 fake escrow sites are up and running on any given day. The National Consumers League also offers tips on using escrow services online.

Yea its a scam. Had a very similar experience a couple months back. Stay away at all costs. Unless you dont mind throwing 18k away.
