If you find the two input plugs to the passenger footwell speaker assembly, it should have two plugs that you will disconnect- the brown plug has the the power wires (yellow/red & black) and the other 6 pin plug (gray) carries the signals in (2 x orange & white) and the signal out (red/brown & brown/black) for the center speaker.
What you need to do is tap onto those white & orange wires with an RCA pigtail.(The whites are the center pin, the orange are the grounds). Simplest thing is to buy a male/male RCA cable , cut it in half & splice it onto your wires. Then just plug the RCA's into the sub.
Do not use the yellow/red wire for the main power - bring a "hot" line direct from battery power. However you can use the yellow/red line as your "remote" power on. See the install notes, but there is a switch to set when you use "remote on" mode.

I think im gonna mount it behind the passenger seat. Someone on prime has already used it before thats where i got the idea but i cant seem to find the thread. Im sure anything is gonna be better than that stock bose "subwoofer" :D

So what parts exactly do i need? would it be possible to link me a page to the items? im really bad with electronic stuff.

Yes, mounting in OE location is good. I have my sub in the center rear, bit loud becouse closet to ears but good :)

You can buy one of these cheap amp wiring kits:

10 gauge is fine for the power cable if you never plan to upgrade. You want to make sure the wiring kit comes with RCAs and you can just cut those apart as D'Ecosse has mentioned and solder the ends on. You will lose the center channel speaker when you wire in you sub (no big deal, you won't miss it).

Ok we are in the process of hooking it up but when i looked in the passenger footwell it appears that there is already an aftermarket amp that is powering the speakers. Because the amp is there i cant fit the sub down there which is where i was hoping it would fit (and it would have if the amp hadnt been there).
We are going to put it behind the seat where it fits and doesnt take up too much room. We already hooked it up and tested it out and it sounds waaayyy better than before. Once we get it all hooked up right and tuned it should sound pretty awesome. Will update after we are all done.

You might consider gong ahead with your plan to fit the speaker in the footwell, if indeed it fits there. You can relocate the amp much easier as it doesn't need to be in the cabin, and you can install that under the hood, or in the trunk - or even under the passenger seat if it's compact (which I expect it must be if it fits in the footwell)

Hey, I've been considering this sub myself as an inexpensive first step in redoing the stereo. Just curious if you also considered this Clarion sub http://www.crutchfield.com/S-HE1Kz1NZiG6/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=51000&I=020SRV303 ? Its a little smaller so might be easier to fit, but maybe you had some info about the Kenwood being a better choice that you could share. In any case I'd like to see some pics of the install when you get done to get an idea of how much space its taking. Thanks :)

Actually I never saw that amp, if I had I probably would have gotten that one instead. The sub sounds pretty good considering its small size and we adjusted the amp so now it sounds waaayy better. It seems the person that installed it made it so the door speakers only got the lows and no midrange or high, so only the center speaker was getting those. I did end up putting the sub behind the passenger seat and it fits quite well and doesnt take up too much room. It sounds 100x better than it did before.
