Huh? Are you the owner of the silver NSX? Most of those guys sound like highway racer chumps anyways... I don't think most NSXers really care. I really don't understand anyone with an NSX that installs NOS... its like they bought the wrong car.

What? Do these guys know what they are even talking about?

1) Can anyone coborate this story?

Quote From NSXMATT:

"The 03 NSX's run high 12's stock with a decent driver. The NSX in question was not running a 50 shot, more like 100+. I saw the setup in person a few weeks ago and it does run 11's as of then."

2nd Quote from GRUB_20001z28:

" hmm, lets examine this for a second.

According to stats I picked up.
03 NSX 3150lbs, 290 HP, 224 Ftlbs Tq.

03 Z06 3116lbs, 405 HP, 400 Ftlbs Tq.

By my calculations, its gonna take a whole lot more than a 50 shot to beat a Z06, let alone get into the 11's. Those cars are mid 13 sec rides stock. a 100 shot may get it to the low to mid 12's, but i doubt much beyond that.

Sounds to me like someone is just trying to talk up a good game since they spent 80K+ on a car which really isnt all that fast. 290 is impressive for a 6 cyl, but come on! Which company in their right mind would put a N/A 6 cyl in a 80K+ sportscar. for that kind of cash, I would expect to be launched by ungodly amounts of power."

2) This to me sounds like typical american muscle 'hick' talk... they have reverted to name calling so we are 'ricers' are we? :D

3) Have any of you raced an NSX on a road corse track?

4) Have any of you taken a Z06 to 500 000kms + on the original engine?

I think its safe to say most people don't understand why we initially choose to buy an NSX... its more than being able to go 0-60 and the 1/4 mile. The NSX is an all out car nut enthusiasts dream, a car starting from 1990 an all out performer and far... far lightyears ahead of its time...

Its good to see that some other car manufactures have finnaly gotten to this point almost 8-10 years latter! :D

I don't want to come off as I'm bashing anyone, every individual can come to their own deductions and conclusions...

We all love what we love for some reason! I own an NSX just because... and I DON'T have to justify that to anyone!

Yes, I agree with kyleboi. The NSX is a great car and has alot of technology in it. It also looks damn cool, specially with those wheels he's got on there. Just dont care for the wing. The design of the car doesn't call for a two foot high picnic table...
Hehehe :D

But I love the way it looks. The JGTC NSX car look is the S^!T.

Hmm.. then *track* the car instead of drag racing the car, maybe then you will be able to make *actual* use of both the diffuser and the big wing and look like a JGTC-300 car at the track, LOL ;).

Even then you will be having a hard time keeping up with ZO6's, straight out of the box they are good cars and a good value proposition for those who enjoy their V8's, as it has been discussed on this board several times.

AJKS... don't fret! All you need to do is get out some $ for bets and tell them to put the money where their loud mouths are and you want to race somewhere with some twisties right after the 1/4 mile straight. See who comes out ahead on the other side...

You probably dont want to try that with a Z06... most other cars though.. go right ahead...

We beat all touring Z06s in this year's OTC, and did that while running a low compression engine NA. It is clear that we needed a bunch of curves to have done that and a bit of good driving ;)

Details to come in the next issue of NSX Driver.
