What car is this?

i saw the below picture as a signature in a web forum... at first glance i thought it was that concept nsx... but now i don't know what it is.

looks like a Toyota logo... scissor doors look like a lambo... but still resembles the nsx/dsx concept... please help.

That is a VW show car from the early or mid 90's. I believe it was the first showing of their W-12 engine. It was never produced.

VW W12 Concept, but I think it's from 1997 or 1998.

The W12 Coupe has been through an extensive development programme culnimating in it setting the world speed record for distance covered in 24 hours at an average of 183 mph in October. This 6 litre, 12 cylinder, 600 horse powered 1200kg supercar is capable of 217mph and 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds, figures only eclipsed by the Maclaren F1, which is no longer in production.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that link and review is for the W12 Coupe which is slightly different (significanly more powerful, styled differently, etc) than the original W12 Concept.

but I also read onb a Jap mag about the V12 Toyota kinda looks like that

The Tokyo Show W12 has some interesting variations to the yellow one... like "vertical carnards"
