Today is the last weekend to race for the season. I decided to see if all my bench racing theories was correct. This is also my first time taking the NSX out to the drag strip and I am surprised at how easy it is to drive this car.
I experimented with different launch techniques from 5K, to 4K, and 3K. At 5K the car wheel hopped, and went side ways a lot. Rolling off the line at 3K yelded the best E.T. and best MPH. Here are my times
Best MPH ( my last run )
R/T .137
60' 2.282
1/8 8.946 @ 85.46mph
1/4 13.626 @ 107.62 mph
Best E.T. ( my first run )
R/T .334
60' 2.116
1/8 8.791 @ 84.77 mph
1/4 105.65 @ 105.65 mph
I think there is probably another .5 mph or so in the car to get me into the 108mph trap range.
