Today is the last weekend to race for the season. I decided to see if all my bench racing theories was correct. This is also my first time taking the NSX out to the drag strip and I am surprised at how easy it is to drive this car.

I experimented with different launch techniques from 5K, to 4K, and 3K. At 5K the car wheel hopped, and went side ways a lot. Rolling off the line at 3K yelded the best E.T. and best MPH. Here are my times

Best MPH ( my last run )

R/T .137
60' 2.282
1/8 8.946 @ 85.46mph
1/4 13.626 @ 107.62 mph

Best E.T. ( my first run )
R/T .334
60' 2.116
1/8 8.791 @ 84.77 mph
1/4 105.65 @ 105.65 mph

I think there is probably another .5 mph or so in the car to get me into the 108mph trap range.

Your best E.T. is listed as the MPH. Very respectable times, especially for a your first time out with the car. Combining the best elements of both runs and getting your 60' down a little, you are definitely capable of hitting a low 13 sec time.

Yeah, I completely ignored the burn out box because I did not put too much of a shock to the drivetrain. The car hooked up surprisingly well for having slightly damp tires rolling past the burn out box.

Nice times!!

agreed. Your 60 foot times should be in the high 1.8 or 1.9 maybe... good for a low 13

Good numbers there, with a little practice low 13s not too far away.

That's pretty good Tat. What would you say your averages were with the NSX? Were you pretty consistently in the 13's or were you slower? Nice times for mild mods though

I did 5 runs, 4 out of the 5 runs was in the 13.6 second range with my first run being in the 13.5, my average mph is 106mph. Highest being 107.6 and the lowest being 104.7 ( because I tried to launch at 5K and the car got too sideways. ) So I must say that I'm pretty damn consistent with this car that I can probably even go bracket racing.
