Weird Starting problem

When it does not start, do you still hear the fuel pump click on?

This sounds like the common main relay failure. Do a search for "main relay." The part is around $50 and easy to replace. You could also try to repair your relay if you can handle some basic soldering. Good luck. :)

The fuel pump does pressurize.

That would be refreshing if it was a $50 part since I just did a clutch and snap ring fix.

I did the whole main relay / ignition switch / fuel pump resistor and even made sure my battery cables were tight. No help. I'm out of ideas. It always starts up so I'm not too worried. I did notice that it only happens to me when I drive for less than 10 minutes and then try to start it up again. When the car is warmed up after at least 15 minutes of driving then it's fine. It also starts fine in the morning or after work. I will do my tb / wp and 60k soon but I don't know if it'll help. Good luck figuring it out. Let me know if you find out anything.

My car seems to have to crank a little bit in the morning also. After the first cold start in the morning it starts up right away there after. So I don't know if thats a normal thing either. Thanks for the info though.

Doesn't sound like a usual problem (main relay, battery, ignition switch) as you've already changed them. Seems like a bad sensor (temp) or false air somewhere.
