weather looks bad next week

Saturday and Sunday show rain for both days of NSXPO. That sucks! Let's hope that doesn't last. It sure has rained enough the last week for us. What happens if we do have a rain out? Do we just keep driving? For some cars I think that would be okay but ours tend to be on the dangerous side of losing traction.

Track event is rain or shine. No refunds from the track so we run the event irrespective of weather. Rained on us both days at Mosport last year and one day at Mid-Ohio. I have tracked my NSX in the rain on approximately 15 different occasions and it handles a wet track surprisingly well.

Naturally, your speeds need to be lower. But it is good experience to drive in the wet and learn the rain line.

One of the best track times I have ever had was in the rain. In the rain everything just happens slower. In some ways it feels safer. We will be like the mailman.

Standing out in the rain is still not fun.

Personally, my tires are fairly good in rain. However, the R compound tires don't do so well in the rain. With so many newbies I expect some issues if it does rain. I plan to drive it either way but I prefer the dry weather since it is more predictable.

Lance, I have been trying to call you for the last couple weeks. Give me a ring this weekend. I have some info for you.
