C'mon guys! We need some help here, the CDN section is getting sleepy!

We need some hot topics where people can weigh in and flame Dave (did I type that out loud) and have some laughs!

I know, excuses, excuses...

I've spent my remaining budget on maintenance items and tools for my car so I have no money for track fun this year...

- replacing all coolant hoses / coolant flush
- replacing coolant tank
- all the misc bolts, connectors, clips for my door panels, exterior molding, vapor barrier, etc, etc, etc…
- Large torque wrench (260ft/lb)
- Cordless impact driver (3KO) from CT
- Measurement tools – micrometer, dial meters, etc, etc
- I snuck in an ARC Titanium muffler too… :)

I figure I’d spend on future investment rather than for fun this year

I'm sure Dave BELIEVES it's helping but my guess is that it just unbalanced his car and he's just dealing with worse front understeer but is claiming that it helps because, hey, such a bigasswing MUST be making my car better...

Without downforce applied to the front and/or suspension adjustments to create more oversteer, a wing like that is just creating off balance on an otherwise well balanced car... unless... he has had his Rice race engineers tune the wing, and analyze the telementry data vs. drag coefficent vs. downforce and optimize the wing so that it creates no more downforce than the OEM wing to regain the car's balance... hehehe....

You nailed it! Thats why he's getting the NSX-R hood now! He needs to increase frontal downforce (He also mentioned something about me distracting Nathan while he borrows a few canards to try out)

Actually, Dave is going really fast now, so the wing IS helping - I think most of the speed gains are coming from teh extra skills he's getting avoiding the cops as they chase him down Queen East!

I admit that I too was worried about the Big Ass wing causing understeer, but IT DOESNT!

Not even a BIT! I think I just wasnt able to put the obscene power down before without the downforce.

The car is a monster. It is a beast. Look at what it does to Stu's DEDICATED, CAGED, STRIPPED PORSCHE RACE CAR! My car eats his alive on the track. Chews his up. Spits his out. Then I pop off the roof. Hop in and turn on the tunes and head home. No cool suit needed for me. No earplugs either. All I need is some gas in my car for the destroying to continue. I dont need $3k worth of replacement parts between track days, either.

You dont see me getting out of my car all punchdrunk because every turn around town Ive been smacking my head against the cage. All you see is me chillin in my Pink Porsche Race Car Destroying Rocket. You also dont see me all sad because my Pink Porsche Race Car is still up on a hoist while paid for track days come and go!

Good come back Dave!

Just a note of advice on the hood... the hood actually provides very little downforce on it's own. It's the duct and front undertray that does 70% of the work. The hood just provides the opening for all the work that the duct and undertray perform. i.e. don't bother with the hood if you are not getting the duct and undertray.

Stu, I'm suprised you didn't just take the NSX to the track, but then again, under heavy rain, I'd prefer no show as well... I think I would need a rain policy, esp. if it's my first track day...

I love Stu's hood, but Im not getting one soon. It would be purely a cosmetic thing for me right now. Id love to have the rull tray and the duct, but we are into about $4k+ for all that and, well, thats not worth it for what Im after. It is amazing though.

Ive got the lexan CF engine cover coming from Downforce. Cant wait - thatll be cool.

Your car is not THAT ugly - even with that wing!

More like gets on its knees and sucks on my car like a dirty little girl - get out to an event that I'm at, we'll prove it!

AND the young boys like it long time! But seriously, you should tech your car, that way you'd know what new parts you actually need - not knowing doesn't mean not needing!

Dude, I know Pink is your favorite colour, and most colours look pink to you, but seriously! My car has no pink in it at all! Ask all the other people who have seen my car - its YOU buddy, you have Pink on the mind.
