Hello prime,

I have a water pump for a 97 nsx here part# 19200-P8A-A03
My car requires a water pump from a 91- 06 part# 19200-PR7-A03
Is there any way to make them fit a 93? Theres already a 93 water pump on there that works but on 200xxx miles + were gonna play it safe than sorry on this one and do the required servicing, and its on the list. Can I make this water pump fit onto my 93 anyway? Any help would be great!

I can't answer your question as I didn't have a 97+ water pump in my hands but I'd sell it and buy the right one.

All you can buy now is the newer water pump. The '91 - '96 version has not been available for a few years. In fact Larry B listed the part number for a kit - center timing belt cover plus new style water pump used for 91 - '96. The kit was a substantial cost savings. The main external difference between the two pumps is the location of the weep tube.

You can use the new pump without buying the new cover. You need to take the new pump, align it in the old cover, mark the spot for the new weep tube location, and drill a hole in the cover. Then, clean the old weep tube hole and fill it with black silicon sealant (so the color matches:biggrin:) to keep out dirt. Be sure to install the seal washer (essentially an o-ring) over the new weep tube to keep out dirt.

I did this on a '91 for a Prime member 2 years ago and all is well.

Out of curiousity, you can do a search on Prime for further reference.

Your car REQUIRES the newer pump "Kit" 19200-PR7-305:).

You can mod the original cover, as Ftuhy mentions, by drilling a hole in it and adding the grommet to seal the hole 11816-PR7-000.
