So, I am about to go for a quick drive to a desolate area in state whose population is less than just about any suburb in Chicago.
Why, you ask?
Because I left a 1991 NSX there last year. I actually found it in a garage, all dusty and such. The owner showed me the car along with at least a dozen muscle cars - all top-shelf cars. The NSX stood out for being the only non-US muscle in the place.
Why did I leave it you ask?
Because at the time, I had a bad gut feeling. One that said, walk away. No use trying to deal with this guy. He overpaid and is trying to make you pay, I thought. I am going back to see if his resolve has weakened. If it has, I have twelve hours to close the deal and get the car under cover at our house here. I will have to come back to sort her out, get her roadworthy. But, I am ahead of myself. This guy may have moved his entire collection and the NSX since I last saw him.
Wish me luck. I will report back in a few hours. Should I not return, advise my wife to search for me via the iPhone. I am sure there is a tracking device on it. It will be the garage in back of the dude's house on the lake.
