Hey Guys,

Can you guys share some insight as to how you mount/install the tubes for the windshield washer. Anyone with some pictues?

I have a VIS Type-R hood.

Thanks

I have a Backyard Special NSX-R hood which I assume was a direct copy of the JDM hood where the routing is opposite the US version. I had to reroute all the washer hoses from the passenger side of the car to the driver's side. This was the only way to use the holes in the underside of the hood where the washer hose clips snap into. I also had to buy some tubing and hose barbs to make up the extra distance.

The VIS type-r hood doesn't have any holes underside. The hoses are just loosely sitting on the cowl when the hood is closed. :(

I had my VIS hood on for a few years and NEVER put water squiters on it. I started to but the OEM ones were to big so I didn't feel like modifying the hood to make them work in case I ever chose to take it off and sell, which I am now getting ready to do.

I have the VIS hood on my car. The holes for the OEM nozzles where not exactly shaped right so I used a small file to enlarge the holes a little and then just pressed the nozzles in. No problem there.
The holes in the underside of the hood were offset so the tube connectors would not reach the nozzles. Also, the VIS hood is deeper than the OEM hood at that point. I enlarged the holes in the underside only to find that the connectors were to short to reach the nozzles.
I then just pulled the connectors out of the washer tubes and pressed them on the nozzles directly. This works fine because they are a tight fit and the pressure is not that high.
The rest of the washer tubes I just taped to the hood with some kind of duct tape. Works fine for me and never had a problem with it.
But I admit that it doesn't look perfectly nice.
