Hi Folks,

I'm looking into upgrading my wheels to Volk TE-37, 17' front and 18' rear.

I'm not really an expert in this so please help if possible;

- I currently have 16' in front and 17' in rear.
- The current suspension set-up is stock.
- If were to order on-line, which store have good reputation and price.
- What would be the offset I need to use.
- Do I need to upgrade the suspension to accomodate the new wheel size.
- If I need to upgrade the suspension, what do you recommend I use.
- How do you rate the Volk TE-37.

TIA, appreciate your feedback.

Jon

hi Jon --

I'm sure others will give you some advice here since the TE-37 is a fairly popular wheel.

We sell the Volk Racing line, and can certainly help you with a proper selection. We are a master distributor and as others who have purchased from us will attest - we give fairly accurate lead times - none of the stories that I've heard from other vendors.

Volk mono-block:

You should also consider the Prodrive GC-06H which is made by the same company as Volk Racing wheels - Ray's Engineering. This wheel has the same forged mono-block construction and is slightly lighter than the TE-37.

Lastly, another similar wheel is the Advan T6 which is similar in design. Although it is cast, not forged, this wheel uses Advan's new hollow core process that results in the spokes being hollow. The result is a lightweight wheel as well.

Hi Chris,

Just want to get clarification on the TE37 18x10.5 concave rear. Is it for stock body or widebody? Thanks.

TE-37 is simply one of the best wheels out there. You just cannot go wrong with them. They are monoblock forged wheels hence light and strong. Finishes are top notch.
Many people including myself have used 17x7.5 et 40 and 18x9.5 et 40.

TIA, appreciate your feedback.

Along with the advice above, you may want to search for the Unofficial Volk TE37 thread. There's a wealth of pics and info there.

That said, I like mine as well. Mine is the red NSX (rear 3/4 view) on SOS's site. Sizes are 17x8.5 and 18x10.5.

Sorry, this size was discontinued for stockbody. It is available for wide body.

I love the way yours looked! Do you mind sharing your setup (tire size, offset, etc...), did you had to lower your car? I would love to see more pictures of your car if you have them available.

Thanks!

Thanks Chris for the link. I'm trying to figure out the tire size, any necessary suspension upgrade to install the TE-37s. Once I get all the info straighten out I'll be giving you call.

Thanks

I purchased my TE-37's from SOS. I have details on tires and some pics here:http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61995. Needless to say I still love them and am not looking to change them!

I'm running LE37-T 18x9.5 +40 offset Rear and 17x7.5 +40 offset Front on Yokohama Advan Neova's. 285/30/18 Rear 235/40/17 Front. I have a spacer on the front.

If I remember correctly, they were listed as:

Front: 17x8.5 +45 offset
Rear: 18x10.5 +40 offset

But I think there's some question on those offsets (I haven't checked). There's a 7.5mm spacer up front to clear the Stoptechs and a 5mm in rear to even it out.

The car was lowered then with the Koni/Eibach combination. I've since gone to a coil-over system. There are more pics in my gallery - look under Ponyboy - but you'll have to wait until the gallery area is fixed.
