Vision GT (GT5) video from Tokyo Game Show 2005

Due out with the PS3?

One could only hope.

So far there hasn't been any word on WHEN it will be coming out. In fact, Polyphony Digital (GT's developer) has another PS2 game in production called "Tourist Trophy" (a motorcycle equivalent of their GT series).

Cool, finally more than 6 cars on the track..... Hurray.....

oh, what's going to be the wait, 2007?? or maybe 2 prologue like GT4 then a finally version schedule at 2008 christmas... It might worth the wait, even though we have to wait till 2009

I'm guessing that they'll target a 2007 release, but who knows when it will REALLY come out.

I seriously doubt there would be a "prologue" release for the first iteration of the series on a new hardware platform.

From studying the video, it looks like there's a driver waiting in the pits as the crew prepares for their team's car to stop. Perhaps they'll have full Super GT races in Vision GT...complete with driver changes. They're definitely pushing at least 20 cars on the track at a time. Even the rally races show more than 2 cars. Some of the shots from this trailer suggest Vision GT will include a car interior view (with working rearview mirrors). And it looks like they'll have HDR lighting (notice the exposure change when transitioning from a tunnel to outside...very cool).

The game looks awesome but it better have online play or i am going to be pissed.

You should watch the preview on MGS4 or maybe MGS5. Snake is my hero.

Yeah, the MGS4 trailer is pretty amazing (and many consider it the highlight of TGS2005)! I'm sure glad it's a PS3 exclusive. That reminds me, I still haven't opened my copy of MGS3...

Looks nice, but it looks like all pre-rendered peices. I want to see what it looks like in game play. GT3 looks amazing in rendered scenes, but looks like crap in gameplay.

Is Resident Evil series coming back to Play Station? It was the reason why I bought the Game Cube in the first place.

Actually, yes, Resident Evil 5 will be on PS3 (and Xbox360 I believe).

And, if you didn't know, Resident Evil 4 will be coming out on PS2 with features not in the GameCube version (including 16x9 support).

I hope the in game music is as good as it is in that clip.
Looks like a fun game. I would not really like to know how many hours of my life have been spent on the GT series.
